These fires are also believed to be the source of smoke seen earlier today moving southward through Quebec Province. Kansas: Very numerous agricultural burns continue to produced an area of smoke sometimes mixed with haze in central Kansas. Arizona: Two of the fires in Coconino County have plumes that extend to the north northeast. A fire near the border of Pima and Santa Cruz Counties is producing smoke that extends toward the southeast near the surface and toward the west at higher levels of the atmosphere. Baja California: There are several large fires in northern Baja California at least two of which are producing significant smoke. The smoke does not appear likely to extend into the U.S.
