DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0105Z October 17, 2005

Lower Mississippi Valley and Florida:
Thin smoke plumes were produced by agricultural burns over the Lower
Mississippi Valley. Thin smoke from a fire in southern Santa Rosa county
in the Florida Panhandle drifted southward over the Gulf of Mexico.

NE Texas:
Fires produced thin smoke plumes over southwestern Wharton and northern
Red River County.

SE Oklahoma:
A fire in Pushmataha County in SE Oklahoma produced a thin smoke plume
that drifted northward.

California:
Dense smoke from a fire in southern Tuolumne County drifted to the
southwest over Mariposa, Merced and San Joaquin County.
