DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0130Z November 12, 2005

Louisiana/Arkansas:
Fires in Lafourche, Assumption, Iberville counties in southern Louisiana
are emitting thin smoke plumes moving west into the counties of St. Martin
and Terrebonne.  Two Fires on the border of northwestern Louisiana
(counties of Caddo and Bossier) and southwestern Arkansas (counties of
Lafayette and Miller) are producing moderate plumes of smoke moving north
across Arkansas.  The fires mentioned above are most likely agricultural
or prescribed burns.

Texas:
A fire in southeastern Plaquemines county in the Panhandle of Texas
is emitting a moderate plume of smoke that is moving northeast across
Baldwin and Mobile counties.
