DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0145Z November 21, 2005

Northwestern Baja California, Mexico:
The very large fire in northwestern Baja between Tijuana and Ensenada
continues to burn. An extensive plume of dense smoke extends to the
west over the Pacific Ocean and to the northeast over southern San Diego
County in California.

Arizona:
The fire in the Coronada National Forest in eastern Cochise County in
southeastern Arizona produced a plume of thin smoke that fanned out toward
the west. A fire located on the Gila/ Coconino County border produced
a narrow plume of thin smoke that extended westward to northeastern
Maricopa and southern Yavapai Counties.

California & Oregon:
Small fires producing thin smoke plumes were observed over El Dorado and
Shasta County in northern California. Small fires producing thin smoke
were also in the counties of Klamath and Lincoln in southwestern Oregon.
