DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0145Z December 14, 2005

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA/ ARIZONA:
A fire in northern Santa Barbara County in southern California is
producing dense smoke that fans out to central San luis Obispo. Dense
smoke from a fire in NE Ventura County extends to the southeast into
western Los Angeles County.
A fire in the Prescott National Forest in Yavapai County in western
Arizona is causing a narrow plume of thin smoke that extends toward the
south for approximately 36 miles.

SOUTHEASTERN U.S. :
Numerous fires are producing small plumes of thin smoke over the Southeast
and the Lower Mississippi Valley.
