DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1900Z February 15, 2006

Georgia/South Carolina:
A couple of northward moving smoke plumes were observed developing from
fires over Richmond County of east central Georgia and Aiken/Barnwell
County of west central South Carolina.

California/Nevada:
Winds have kicked up a moderately dense area of blowing dust over
southwest Nye county in Nevada over the Sarcobatus Flat near Scotty's
Junction. The blowing dust is moving south and southeast. There was also
blowing dust across the border in Inyo county California in Death Valley
National Park.

West Texas:
An area of thin blowing dust was seen over West Texas emanating from
Dawson and Martin counties. The dust was moving to the northeast into
Borden county.
