DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 2345Z MARCH 23, 2006

Alabama:
A fire near Tibbie, AL in Washington county is producing moderately
dense smoke that extends SE 88km into south-central Baldwin county and
is about 28km wide.

Mississippi:
A fire near Paulding in Jasper county is producing thin smoke that
extends SE 110km into central Greene county and is about 15km wide.
A fire near Brewer in Perry county is producing thin smoke that extends
SE 92km into N Jackson county and is about 9km wide.
A fire in southern Perry county near Oak Grove and Redhill is producing
intermittent puffs of dense smoke with an overall moderately dense
consistency throughout the plume.  The plume extends SE 91km off shore
to near E Horn Island and has a width of 21km

Louisiana:
A fire near Lecombe in St. Tammany parish produced an area of detatched
moderately dense smoke that currently is located over the Delta region
Plaquemines and St. Bernard parishes.

Texas:
A fire in the Aransas N.W.P. is producing moderately dense smoke that
extends due S 182km or about 80km due E of Port Mansfield.
