DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0215Z June 10, 2006.

Canada:
A fire in central Ontario started producing a very dense plume of smoke
late in the day that is moving directly south, just east of Lake Nipigon
and almost reaching Lake Superior.

Florida:
A fire on the border of Orange, Polk, Lake, and Osceola counties in
central florida is producing a moderately dense plume of smoke that
is moving east to northeast.  A fire along Florida`s northeast coast
is producing a light plume of smoke that is heading east out over the
Atlantic Ocean.

Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley:
Numerous agricultural fires are burning along the Mississippi River and
its outlets, and several are producing very light plumes of smoke that
are moving north.  The most concentrated portion of these fires is in
central Arkansas.  Fires in southeast Oklahoma are producing moderately
dense plumes of smoke that are moving northwest.  A large fire located in
Hancock county of southwest Misissippi is producing a moderately dense
to dense plume of smoke that is moving south over parts of New Orleans
and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Southwest US:
A fire located in San Bernardino county of southern California is
producing a very dense plume of smoke that is moving east.  Fires in
Mohave county of southwest Arizona are producing plumes of moderately
dense smoke that extend north just reaching Utah's southern border.
