DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0132Z July 1, 2006.

Southwest U.S. :
In western Arizona dense smoke fanned out from a large fire in
southern  Yavapai County. A fire in NW San Diego County in S California
produced thin smoke that stretched across W Riverside County to SW San
Bernardino. In northern California thin smoke from Stanislaus County
spread to Joaquin County. Thin smoke also extended northward from a fire
in W Temama County to W Shasta and NE Trinity.

Canada and Eastern U.S. :
Numerous fires in the Canadian Provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and
Manitoba produced an extensive plume of dense to moderately dense smoke
that extended southeastward across Ontario through the Great Lakes to
the Ohio Valley and the Middle Atlantic states. Thin smoke extended from
NE Texas across the N Gulf of Mexico to Florida.
