DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0140Z December 02, 2006

Oregon:
Two fires in northern Coos county are producng thin to moderately dense
plumes of smoke that are moving southwestward to the Pacific. The smoke
plume on the east crossed Coos county and reached northwestern corner
of Curry county.

California:
Numerous fires in central California, including Tehama, Glenn, Colusa,
Sutter, Butte, and El Dorado counties, are producing thin to moderately
dense plumes of southerly somke. A fire in central Mono county is
producing a moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving southward
across the county border into northern Inyo county.

Mexico:
Two fires in west of northern Mexico are producing thin to moderately
dense plumes of westerly smoke.

Arizona:
Two fires in southern Navajo and Apache counties are producing thin smoke.

New Mexico:
A fire in northwestern corner of Colfax county is producing a thin to
moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving northward into southwestern
corner of Las Animas county in Colorado. A fire in central Otero county
is producing a thin to moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving
eastward across the county border into western Eddy county.

Texas:
Two fires in coastal areas of Chambers county are producing thin to
moderately dense plume of long and narrow smoke that are moving southward
into the Gulf of Mexico. A fire in Jefferson county is producing a
locally very dnese plume of smoke that is moving southward into the Gulf.

Louisana:
A bunch of fires in northern and central Vernon county are producing
moderately dnese to locally dense plumes of smoke that are moving
southward across Vernon into southern Allen county.

Florida:
A fire on the intersection between the county border of Santa Rosa and
Okaloosa countyes and the Florida-Alabama state boundary is producing
a locally dense plume of smoke that is moving southward along the Santa
Rosa-Okaloosa border into the Gulf of Mexico.
