DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0210Z December 27, 2006

Hawaii:
A fire in central Maui produced a thin to moderately dense short-period
plume of smoke that was moving to the northwest this morning

Mexico:
A bunch of fires in northern Mexico near east of northern Gulf of
California are burning and producing moderately dense to dense plumes
of smoke that are moving to the south southeast.

Texas:
A fire along the Victoria-Refugio county border is producing a moderately
dense to dense plume of smoke, that is moving southeastward to the Gulf
of Mexico. A fire in southwestern Chambers county near Galveston Bay is
producing a moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving southeasterly
across western Calhoun county into the Gulf of Mexico.

Louisiana:
A bunch of fire in southern Marsh Island are burning and producing dense
plumes of smoke that are moving southward into the Gulf of Mexico.
