DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0115Z January 14, 2007
California/ Oregon:
A fire in central Imperial County in southern California produced a
plume of thin smoke that moved southward to northern Baja California.
Thin smoke fanned out to the north and northeast from a fire located in
western Jackson County in SW Oregon.

- Only a general description of areas of smoke or significant smoke plumes will be analyzed.

- Widespread cloudiness may prevent the detection of smoke even from significant fires.
