DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0130Z March 23, 2007

Florida:
A fire in western Dixie county of Florida is producing a puff of thin
smoke that is moving to west southwest into Gulf of Mexico. Another fire
along Okaloosa-Santa Rosa county border is producing a thin to moderately
dense plume of smoke that is moving northwestward into Escambia county
of Southern Alabama.

Tennessee and North Carolina:
A big fire located in the intersection of Monroe, MC Minn, and Polk
counties is producing a moderately dense to locally dense plume of
smoke that is moving to the north northeast and almost reaching to
the northern state boundary. A big fire along the Cherokee-Clay county
border is producing a moderately to locally dense plume of smoke that
is also moving to the north northeast and reaching to the state border
with Tennessee in Swain county of North Carolina.

Arkansas:
A big fire in Johnson county of Arkansas is producing a moderately dense
to locally dense plume of smoke that is moving to the north northeast
and reaching to the northern state boundary in Boone and Marion counties.

Mississippi:
A fire in Franklin county of Mississippi is producing a moderately
dense to locally dense plume of smoke that is moving to the north and
crossing the state boundary in Claiborne county into Tensas county of
western Louisiana.
