DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1550Z May 08, 2007

Georgia, Florida, and Gulf of Mexico:
The large fires in Charlton county of southern Georgia and along Clay
and Bradford county boundary are producing a locally dense plumes of
smoke that are moving to the southwest. The smoke combined with the
residual smoke yesterday which is moderately dense to dense and moving
southwesterly then southerly and has covered almost eastern half of the
Gulf of Mexico. The western coast of Florida are definitely influenced
by the smoke.

Another fire in Collier county of southern Flordia is producing a
modreately dense plume of narrow smoke that is moving southerly into
the Gulf of Mexico.

The fires in Atkinson county of Georgia are still producing thin to
moderately dense plumes of narrow smoke that are moving to the southwest.
