DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0230Z June 26, 2007

California/Nevada:
A wildfire South of Lake Tahoe in eastern EL Dorado county of central
California is continuing to produce a very large mass of dense smoke
fanning out to the east with moderately dense smoke also fanning towards
the northeast into northern Lander county of central Nevada.

A large wildfire burning in the Tehachapi Mountains in southern Kern
County of southern California is emitting a dense smoke plume moving
to the east northeast across northeast Los Angeles and western San
Bernardino counties.  Light to moderately dense smoke is moving east
across central and eastern San Bernardino county and southern Nevada.

Utah/Wyoming:
A wildfire in Camp Floyd/Stagecoach State Park just west of Lake Provo
and south of Salt Lake City is producing a moderately dense to locally
dense plume of smoke moving northeast/southwest into north Wasatch
county. A wildfire in Sublette county Wyoming is emitting a locally very
dense plume of smoke moving east NE to northern Johnson county. Another
big fire in Park county of Wyoming started to burn this evening and is
producing a locally dense plume of narrow smoke that is moving to the
east NE into northern Big Horn county of Northern Wyoming.

South Dakota:
A fire in Custer county is producing a moderately dense to locally dense
plume of smoke that is moving northeasterly into southern Meade county.

New Mexico:
A Fire in western Taos county of northern New Mexico is producing a
locally dense plume of smoke that is moving southeasterly into northern
San Miguel county. The most dense portion of the smoke is located in
southern Taos county. A fire in southern Catron county is producing a
locally very dense plume of smoke that is swirling around southeastern
Catron county.

Alaska/Yukon/Northwest Territories:
The fires east of Great Bear Lake are producing a large area of locally
very dense smoke that is moving northwestward then northeastward all
the way to the sea.
