DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1645Z UTC August 22, 2007

California

Thin smoke from the Zaca fire in Santa Barbara  covers Riverside county
northeastward into San Bernardino county where it is thickest.

Southwest

Very thin smoke extends from Grand county in eastern Utah northeastward
into Larimer county in Colorado.

Thin smoke extends from northern Coconino county in Arizona to the
4-corners area.

Southeast

Thin smoke and haze is seen in extreme southeast North Carolina and
adjacent waters of the Atlantic.

Possible thin smoke is seen in much of the Florida panhandle and adjacent
Gulf of Mexico.
