DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1500Z UTC August 25, 2007

California/Nevada:
Thin and moderately dense smoke from the large fire in Santa Barbara
County in southern California moved northward to central California and
western Nevada.

Northwestern United States:
Thin smoke extended from the fires in central Idaho to southwestern
Montana and northwestern Wyoming.

Midwest:
The thin remnant smoke observed over Iowa, southern Wisconsin and northern
Illinois is likely from the fires in Idaho and Montana.
