DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Montana/Idaho/Northern Plains: The increasing wild fires scattered across central Idaho and western Montana caused a plume of moderately dense and dense smoke that extended eastward to the Dakotas. Dense smoke reaches into extreme SE Saskatchewan and S Manitoba, Canada. Thin smoke and haze were observed over the Middle and Upper Mississippi Valley. Eastern United States: Thin remnant smoke and haze stretch from the Middle Atlantic States to Coastal New England.
