DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0140Z OCTOBER 14, 2007

British Columbia/Washington/Oregon/California/Idaho:
A bunch of fires in southern British Columbia of Canada are
producing thin to moderately dense plumes of smoke that are moving
west-northwestward. several fires in Clallam, Jefferson, and Grays
Harbor counties of western Washington are producing thin to moderately
dense plumes of smoke that are moving northeasterly and influencing
locally. Several fires in Polk, Baker, Coos, Jefferson, and Harney
counties of Oregon are producing moderately dense to locally dense
plumes of smoke that are swirling around or moving to the east and
influencing locally. A fire in Adams county of western Idaho is producing
a thin to moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving southerly into
southern Adams county. A fire in Tehama county of northern California
is producing a thin to moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving
westerly into central of southern Shasta county of California along the
county boundary. Two fires in El Dorado county of central California
are producing moderately dense to locally dense plumes of smoke that
are moving southerly and are influencing El Dorado and Amador counties
of California.

Manitoba and Ontario:
Several fires in southern Manitoba just south of Lake Winnipeg are
producing thin to moderately dense plumes of smoke that are moving
southerly. Two fires in southern Ontario are producing moderately dense
to locally dense plumes of smoke that are moving south-southeastward.

Arkansas/Texas/Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama:
Tons of fires are burning along Mississippi river in Arkansas, Louisiana
and Mississippi. Some of them are producing thin plumes of smoke that
are mainly moving northwesterly. A fire in Shelby county of Texas is
producing a moderately dense plume of smoke that is moving to the north
into central Gregg county of Texas. Several fires in Alabama are producing
thin plumes of smoke that are moving westerly.
