Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas/Louisiana: A cluster of fires near the confluence of Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma and Louisiana were producing mainly light smoke that was drifting to the east and southeast. The fire producing the most smoke was in southeast McCurtain county Oklahoma with a plume that reached into Lafayette county Arkansas. Numerous fires were also seen in the Texas Panhandle that were producing mainly short bursts of smoke that mostly moved to the east. The smoke producing fires were clustered in two area: in and around Moore county and in and around Castro county. Arizona: Several fires were producing light to moderately dense smoke, and locally even dense smoke close to the source, over Coconino county. One fire was in the southeast part of the county east of Long Valley near the Blue Ridge reservoir. A fire in the south central part of the county west of Flagstaff had the largest smoke plume which extended east into central Navaho county. Another blaze was in the northwest part of the county on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Other fires were in northwest Yavapai and northeast Apache counties. All of the smoke plumes extended to the east or northeast. California: A fire in central Mariposa county had a light to moderately dense smoke plume that was mainly confined to within about 25 km of the fire until about mid afternoon when the smoke became a little more lofted and the winds picked up carrying the smoke to the east-northeast into Esmeralda and Mineral counties in Nevada.
