DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Southeast/Lower Mississippi Valley: Numerous ag fires generated isolated smoke plumes which generally moved to the south to southeast. Most notable smoke plumes emanated from blazes in Iberia and Vermilion counties in Louisiana and extended approximately 125 km to the south. California/Oregon: Moderately dense smoke extended 200 km to the northwest of a fire in Mono County while similarly dense smoke reached 125 km southwest of a blaze in Lane County Oregon.
