DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Southern Louisiana and Southeast Texas: About a dozen or so smoke plumes were detected by the analyst, including a couple of moderately dense smoke plumes. These very long and narrow smoke plumes were being blown to the south, and out over the Gulf of Mexico, by strong northerly winds. Some plumes extended 150-200 miles from their sources. RCE
