DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0300Z February 19, 2008

Oregon:
In Curry County, two fires popped up this afternoon producing light
smoke plumes. These plumes are generally moving towards the north,
and extend up the coast into Coos County.

Louisiana:
A fire in St. Landry County is producing a light smoke plume moving
southeast and extends 75 miles out from the source.

Texas:
Numerous fires along the Gulf Coast are producing light smoke plumes,
which are generally moving south into the Gulf of Mexico.

Florida:
Along the panhandle, in Walton County, a light smoke plume is moving
southeast and extends into northwest Bay County.

Hawaii:
Burning vegetation from Kilauea is producing a light smoke and ash plume
(vog), and extends to the west.
