DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0215Z March 10, 2008

Mississippi:
Along the border of Amite and Franklin Counties, a moderately dense
smoke plume was seen moving northwest into the rest of Franklin County,
and also into Jefferson County. The smoke plume extends out 35 miles
out from the source.

Florida:
An extensive smoke plume in southern Okaloosa County was producing
a heavy smoke plume, moving south, over the Gulf of Mexico. Light to
moderate smoke extends out 50 miles from the source.
