DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Dust/Sand: In the western Texas counties of Gaines, Andrews, Dawson and Martin strong Nely winds are kicking up dust and sand that is moving SW into the the upper Pecos River region near the far SE NM boarder with TX. A sandy section of eastern Roosevelt county NM near the TX boarder is leading to a 15km wide plume of sand/dust that extends SW as far as NNWern Eddy county NM. Sand/Dust and possible pollution can be seen across the San Joaquin Valley piling up along the mountain ranges particularly the Sierras in light Wly winds. Gallina THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
