DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Great Lakes into mid Mississippi Valley: The remnant smoke that was noted earlier across portion of the Great Lakes states into the mid Mississippi Valley has mainly become too light to discern. There is a remaining patch of light smoke that can be seen drifting southeast across Missouri. Gulf of Mexico: Remnant smoke from the Mexican and Guatemala fires continues to be observed across the central and southern Gulf of Mexico, mainly confined to an area south of 25N and west of 85W. However, a narrow patch of thin smoke was also seen extending further north toward the Florida Panhandle between Panama City and Tallahassee. Moderately dense smoke was mainly over the southwest Gulf into the Bay of Campeche, south of 25N and west of 90W. Ruminski THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED.
