DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

British Columbia/Alberta: A large area of light to moderately dense smoke from fires in southern British Columbia can be seen extending throughout British Columbia, northwestern Alberta and into southern regions of the Northwest Territories. Mexico: An area of blowing dust originates near the north coast of the Gulf of California and extends north-northwest toward Imperial County in California. -Salemi More information on the areas of smoke described above as well as others can be found at the locations listed below. THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
