DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Pacific Northwest/Southwest Canada: Large amounts of dense smoke are still emanating from the Tumblebug and Boze fires in west central Oregon and extends through British Columbia and into north central Alberta with a somewhat detached area moving into central Saskatchewan. Several smaller plumes of dense to moderate in Idaho and Montana as well as British Columbia are also getting mixed in to the larger area. Northern Baja: Moderate to dense smoke emanating from plumes in the northern portion of the peninsula and moving to the south. An area of dust can also be seen blowing to the south along the western Gulf of California coast. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
