DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1430Z May 14, 2010
Central US/Canada: A large area of aerosol can be seen extending from southern Manitoba through the Dakotas, Minnesota and Iowa. This is likely remnant smoke from the previous days fires through central Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Gulf of Mexico: It appears there is residual smoke from Mexican/Central American fires along the western portion of the Bay of Campeche and the Gulf of Mexico. Cloudiness in the area prevents determining the full extent of the smoke. Salemi THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED.
