DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

N Central Canada: Copious amounts of dense smoke continue to pour from the fires across Saskatchewan,W Manitoba and South Central NW Territories. The dense smoke stretches into the Great Lakes region and is particularly dense near the fires themselves in Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories. S Central Canada/Great Lakes/New England and Mid-Atlantic: Smoke from the fires mentioned above stretches across the Great Lakes and into the Mid-Atlantic states as well as Ontario/Quebec and New England. While the dense smoke has not made it that far, moderately dense smoke was present over much of the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes and the Mid-Atlantic/southern New England. Southeast States: Area of unknown aerosols and haze was present all day across much of the southern states from northern Texas through Arkansas and eastward off the coast of the Carolinas.
