DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Texas/Arizona/New Mexico: Areas of blowing dust were seen in the afternoon and evening over portions of the area. An area of blowing dust originated along the Texas/New Mexico border near Clovis NM and was moving south over much of southeast NM, reaching to near Carlsbad by sunset. A plume of blowing dust was coming from a point source near a dry lake bed near Wilcox in southeast Arizona. This plume was moving to the southeast and just reached the Chiricahua mountains near the NM border. Another point source was in southwest New Mexico in the southeast corner of Grant county near the Sierra Hacheta mountains. This dust was moving to the southeast into northern Mexico.
