DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Northern/Central Gulf of Mexico: An elongated band of probable blowing dust can be seen moving to the southeast through the northern and central Gulf of Mexico. Moderate to strong northwesterly winds behind the frontal passage and recent blowing dust over the desert southwest and southern/central plains would lead to the current location of blowing dust. Belge THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES. IT WILL ALSO STILL INCLUDE DESCRIPTIONS OF BLOWING DUST.
