Central and Eastern Canada: Numerous wildfires continue to burn throughout east central Manitoba and western/northern Ontario. In addition to the smoke from today's burning, remnant smoke from previous days stretched all the way east to Newfoundland by way of southern Quebec, northern New York and northern New England and much of central Ontario. An area of smoke was also being drawn back to the west across Lake Winnipeg just reaching the Saskatchewan border. The smoke was mostly moderately dense to locally very dense and was mainly moving to the east. Idaho/western Montana: An area of light remnant smoke from a fire in the southern Sierra Nevada in Tulare county near Mineral King in the Sequoia National Park was seen drifting to the north northeast across much of Idaho and western Montana. Fresh smoke from today's burning was dense and extended northeast from the fire into central Nevada. Blowing Dust in Nevada: An area of moderate blowing dust was seen originating in east central Eureka county in Nevada (possibly from a dry lake bed) and extended to the north into southwest Idaho. Two areas of light blowing dust were seen also extending to the north into north central Nevada from central Nye and central Esmeralda counties. Sonora Mexico: An area of blowing dust was seen over western Sonora near the coast of the Gulf of California. The dust was moving to the northeast toward southeast Arizona.
