DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1615Z July 19, 2011

Central and Eastern Canada:
Numerous wildfires continue to burn throughout east central Manitoba
and western/northern Ontario. This remnant smoke stretches all the way
east to off the New England coast by way of southern Quebec, northern
New York and much of central Ontario. The smoke was mostly moderately
dense to locally very dense and was mainly moving to the east/southeast.

Idaho/southwestern Montana:
An area of light to moderately dense, remnant smoke can be seen from
extreme northern Nevada into central Idaho and then into southern
Montana. This is most likely from the recent fires burning through
California and into southern/central Idaho.
