Northwest US: Large wildfires in California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho continue to emit moderately dense to dense smoke which is moving to the northeast. Montana/Southern Canada: A small area of detached light to moderately dense smoke extends from mid-Montana, northeast into Saskatchewan. This is likely remnant smoke from the wildfires in Idaho. Blowing Dust: Oregon/California: There are small areas of blowing dust/sand originating from the dry lakes beds in Summer Lake, Oregon and Honey Lake, California. The blowing dust/sand is moving to the northeast. There are two other areas of blowing dust originating from north-central Nevada and the southeast corner of Oregon.
