Canada/North Central US: Numerous wildfires stretching from the southern portion of the Northwest Territories to northern Manitoba have resulted in a large area of remnant smoke that stretched from the source region northeastward across portions of Nunavut into the Strait of Labrador. Dense smoke was seen over northeastern Manitoba while moderately dense smoke could be found over portions of southeastern Northwest Territories, northern Manitoba, central Nunavut and the Strait. Fires in southeast Quebec have resulted in a ribbon of light remnant smoke from southeast Quebec across Newfoundland and out over the Strait. US and Southern Alberta: Fires in the western US states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming have resulted in a wide swath of light to isolated moderately dense smoke that extended from the Pacific Ocean off northern CA northeastward across the northern Rockies and southern Alberta and then southeastward across the central Rockies, central Plains and into the Lower Mississippi Valley.
