SMOKE: British Columbia/Alberta/Nova Scotia/United States.... A large remnant plume of light density smoke from fires burning in British Columbia extended south and southeastward into the United States. The plume encompassed the Pacific Northwest, Northern Intermountain, Northern Rockies, Central Plains, Middle Mississippi Valley, and parts of the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley/Ohio Valley/Southern Appalachians/Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians. Another large area of light density remnant smoke stretched from Ohio eastward across the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians/Mid-Atlantic and offshore before turning toward the northeast and crossed in Nova Scotia. A large area of moderate density smoke from the previously mentioned fires covered portions of British Columbia, Pacific Northwest, Northern Intermountain, Northern Rockies, and the Central Plains. Most of British Columbia was covered in heavy density smoke near the fires burning there. Several areas of heavy density smoke were also seen covering portions of Nebraska/Washington/Idaho/Montana. Northern Canada... Light to moderate density smoke covered a good portion of northern Canada from fires burning in the Yukon Territory. The smoke extended from the Yukon through the Northwest Territories to northern Saskatchewan and northern Manitoba. Davis Strait...
