SMOKE: Southern California... Wildfires located in Ventura County, California continued to produce heavily dense smoke throughout the day and into nightfall. The smoke was blown westward over Santa Barbara, CA and into the Pacific Ocean by fresh winds from the east. The majority of the remnant smoke was carried northward over the Pacific, hugging the western coast with moderately dense smoke stretching into western Washington state. Light density smoke was seen to encroach upon the western US coast while also extending further into the Pacific. Kansas and Oklahoma... Several fires located in the northeastern quadrant of Kansas and Oklahoma were producing thin density smoke plumes that was seen to stretch towards the southeast.
