SMOKE: Southern California... Some flare up was noted in satellite imagery during the afternoon with the fire activity around the Thomas Fire in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties which resulted in another round of moderately dense to locally thick smoke which generally moved to the southwest and off the coast of southern California. The detached remnant plume of thin density smoke several hundred miles offshore to the southwest over the open Pacific which was seen earlier this morning was barley visible later in the day.
