THROUGH 1910Z September 19, 2020
SMOKE: United States, Western and Central Canada, Atlantic Ocean…. Although the number of wildfires over the western United States was perhaps a little less than previous days, particularly over Washington and Oregon, a tremendous area of smoke continues to extend over a large area of the United States, western and Central Canada and through a portion of the north Atlantic Ocean to near western Europe. Within this tremendous area of smoke, the highest density smoke extended from most of the central United States northwest through Saskatchewan and Alberta in western and central Canada. Another area of high density smoke was seen over the north Atlantic Ocean south of Greenland.
