Gulf Coast States, Gulf of Mexico and eastern Mexico…. A large area of mostly light density smoke, from fires over Mexico, extended from portions of eastern Mexico and the Yucatan through the Gulf of Mexico to southern Georgia, southern Alabama, southern Louisiana through Florida and into portions of the southwest Atlantic Ocean. Hanna THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
