SMOKE/AEROSOL: Southern Mexico/Gulf of Mexico/Northwestern Central America/Pacific Ocean off the coast of Southern Mexico and Northwest Central America… A area of primarily thin to moderate density aerosol, composed in part by industrial activities in Mexico and seasonal fire activity also in Mexico, was visible today covering parts of southern Mexico, northern gulf of Mexico, some of northwestern Central America, and extending south of those areas well out over the Pacific. Nguyen THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE, TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
