Details:
Since Monday, August 31st, 2009, GeoEye’s SeaWiFS/OV-2 has not provided
ocean color data to NOAA. On October 27, 2009, GeoEye provided the
following status update: “We have scheduled a recovery plan for
OrbView-2 starting this Thursday (10/29) or Friday (10/30). We hope to
have the final implementation completed by November 11th, but will keep
you posted.” (GeoEye’s attempt to restore SeaWiFS imaging on October 8,
2009 was not successful.)

CoastWatch users can use MODIS/Aqua-derived and MERIS/Envisat-derived
ocean color products during SeaWiFS data outages.
