*Details/Specifics of Change:* Due to the accelerated increase on the
NDET noise of Metop-B AMSU Channel-7, the decision has been made to
disable Channel-7 in the MIRS retrieval. Based on the algorithm
scientists' assessment, the Ch7 anomaly mainly impact on the
temperature
profile around 250 mb and the stdev error at 250 mb compared to the
reference (NDET less than 0.25K) increases less than 1.0 K with the
Channel-7 to be turned off. This change has no minimum impact on other
MIRS Metop-B products.
