Switching to Channel 3A will not occur during this period over the predefined box encompassing the Alaska Region (box coordinates 50=C2=B0= N to 75=C2=B0N and 173=C2=B0E to 135=C2=B0W). NOAA-15 and NOAA-19 AVHRR will re= main Channel 3B (3.7 microns) to support fire detection and monitoring activities over Alaska Region.
