Starting around 0850 UTC on 5 June 2017, no valid measurements of AMSU-A channels were available, which caused a degradation of the ATOVS product quality. The ATOVS soundings products are severely impacted by the anomaly. Currently, no good retrievals are being made from the ATOVS using the Metop-A data. Users are recommended to use the available products with caution.
