With the expiration of DOD CA-27 on September 8, 2017, a majority of
ESPDS/PDA X.509 certificates needed to be replaced. We attempted to
complete this work last Wednesday, August 30, but have determined that
the certificates on some servers must be replaced again. Users were
advised last week to install the certificates for DOD Root CA 3 and
Intermediate CA-37 and CA-38 NLT than Mon 28 August 2017 to avoid data
loss, and to not remove the old DoD CA-27. As a result of this
previous
action, users should not need to take any further action today, and we
do not anticipate any impact to users as a result of our updates today.
As with any maintenance though, there is a possibility of brief
connection issues and data loss. We suggest all users check their
connections and data flow upon the completion of the maintenance. We
will update this message as soon as the work is complete.
