There is no back up date for this maneuver. It will need to be conducted during a critical weather day. A recovery period will follow immediately and last until September 23, 2017 at 0044 UTC. During the recovery period, routine imager and sounder scans will be performed; however, the navigation may still be out of specifications until the end of the recovery period. No GOES-15 (GOES-West) RSO requests will be approved during the maneuver/maneuver recovery period. If NWS Regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301) 683-1500 at least 6 hours prior to the maneuver time. There is no backup date for the Yaw Flip. GOES-13 (GOES-East) will perform Full Disk coverage from 2015-2144 UTC on September 21, 2017. The GOES-East Full Disk coverage is subject to change should NWS call for Rapid Scans to support Critical Weather Status. On September 22, 2017 0800-1100 UTC, the following images and soundings will be shortened or replaced due to navigation constraints during eclipse.
