H.  REMARKS...LATEST SUITE OF MICROWAVE DATA THROUGH 2215Z REVEALED THAT
THE LOW LEVEL CENTER WAS DISPLACED EAST OF THE MID LEVEL CENTER. THIS
IS CONSISTENT WITH UW-CIMSS EXPERIMENTAL VERTICAL SHEAR AND TC
INTENSITY TREND ESTIMATES PRODUCT ISSUED AT 18Z, WHICH INDICATED
NEARLY 25 KTS OF SHEAR FROM THE NE. THERE IS EVIDENCE OF THIS SHEAR
IN CONVENTIONAL SATELLITE IMAGERY...SPECIFICALLY A TIGHT GRADIENT IN
CLOUD TOP TEMPERATURES IN THE NE QUADRANT OF THE SYSTEM. CENTER IS
ESTIMATED...BASED LARGELY ON THE 2215Z AMSU PASS...TO BE EMBEDDED IN B,
WHICH RESULTS IN A DT OF 5.0. THIS SEEMS TOO HIGH GIVEN FURTHER EROSION
OF THE EYEWALL IN THE AMSU PASS WHEN COMPARED TO PREVIOUS MICROWAVE
PASSES. PT IS 4.5 AND MET IS 5.0 BASED ON SLIGHT DEVELOPMENT OVER THE
LAST 24 HOURS. FT IS BASED ON PT DUE TO UNCERTAINTY IN PRECISE CENTER
LOCATION AND THE ABSENCE OF A CLOSED EYEWALL IN MICROWAVE IMAGERY.
