Eastern US: The combination of the convergence along a frontal boundary and the subsidence with the outflow of Hurricane Rita are aiding in the production of a concentrated area of haze/pollution/smoke. The large area of haze/pollution and possible smoke from agricultural burns stretches from the Middle Mississippi Valley through the Ohio Valley to off the Middle Atlantic Coast. Brown
